Pipeline...

Today I woke up and decided I should run some errands and be a little bit productive before I went a played for the day! Once I got my list done we got on the bus to go to pipeline to layout and watch the surfers on the big waves! To top it off the already great day we saw two humpback whales playing in the ocean right in front of us! It was just another amazing day here in Hawaii! Once again I love living here and I am so blessed to be on this beautiful island at this time in my life.

Surfers waiting for a set of waves to come in...
 Whale....
Splashing Whale...
Other Whale.....

Yep.. That is sand in my sheets! And to tell you the truth I kinda like it... It means that I live by the ocean and I get to go to the beach everyday. I can honestly say I will miss sandy sheets!
This picture was taken by Katie Coats.. I don't think that she meant to get me in the picture but this guy was cracking me up all day! He was loving his binoculars... in this picture it looks like he was creepin on me!

Random....

This little beauty slipped through the cracks somehow... this was one of the first days here! A man came up to us and started shootin the breeze with us and yada yada yada one thing led to the next and he said "are any of you from Utah?!" I told him I was and he pointed to a guy in a red swimsuit that was playing in the ocean and said... "that's your governor!" PHAHAH I just laughed and said well that is neat! The guy was his publicist and wanted us to meet him and somehow we ended up getting a picture with him... RANDOM..YES!  But really what do you expect when it comes to me?!

Waikiki Beach

Today we woke up to a cloudy sky and wind... so we decided to out smart the weather and jump on a bus to the other side of the island and spend the day at Waikiki Beach! It was a perfect day with a light breeze and 81 degrees. Everyday we are here I have to stop and ask everyone if they realize how lucky we are?! I think they might be getting sick of me asking the same question everyday... but they better get use to it because I plan on asking it until the day I leave!

For some reason this guy reminded me of my dad.... and a little bit of myself!

Cute Meg posing for the camera at the beach!

Best thing that has happened to me since moving here... YOGURTLAND!

Waiting at the bus stop... We needed to act tough so no one would mug us or something! The things you do to entertain yourself when waiting for the bus!
Favorite picture of the day...
This poor big guy fell asleep on the bus and kept falling over..

Sheets....

In my mind there is nothing better than clean sheets... not just clean sheets but the way they feel after you wash them! Also after you put them on and they are super tight and not bunchy and falling off the mattress! You know the kind that you could throw a quarter on and it would bounce.. Well I washed my sheets for the week today and I am loving my delicious smelling, tight, softy sheets!

Rejected....

No one likes to be told they aren't wanted.... NO ONE! We also don't like being told  that someone else can do a better job than us!
Well that very thing happened today... it's called REJECTION and kids it hurts!

P.S. No one can ever say that I didn't try to get a job out here... I have proof now!

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER... Seriously though!

Driving to the Valley of the Temples with the windows down...
CRAZY HAIR!
THE grossest cat ever in the parking lot!

Why did I think this was so funny?!

The gate was locked SOO this may or may not be me braking and entering!
Megan came with me... it was quite the adrenaline rush!

After the Temples we went to Jamba Juice for a delicious smoothie and then came back to good ol Laie! I then spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach laying out... When I got home I found this little surprise on my bed from Megan and Allie!

SHOT GLASS!
My SUPER COOL cake! GLUTEN FREE AND ALL!!!

On my special day a not so happy thing happened... This cute girl, Addie, went home.
The guy driving the shuttle that picked her up to take her to the airport was SOO nice! His name was Herald.. but that is beside the point! He drove us to Haliewa because it was on the way to the airport. Which means I only had to ride the bus one way today... that was enough of a birthday by itself!
Lovely Herald dropping us off in Haliewa for my BIRTHDAY DINNER!

 Alex and Whitney
 Alls, Megs and I
 Yep...
 Whit and Jasmine

I had the VERY BEST Birthday today! I was worried about not being at home or with family this year but my friends really made an effort to make the day feel super special.. I am blessed to have met such amazing people and to have them in my life. Sweet Whitney bought my delicious dinner and Jasmine and Addie got me a gift certificate to my very favorite ice cream place.... which  I went to after dinner and they had my reeses ice cream! I am one lucky 21 year old girl! Thanks again for the special effort everyone... it meant the world!
