DATE NIGHT....

We got the chance to go to the Miami vs Jazz game this past Friday night. It was honestly not only the best game I have ever been to but have watched and in this house we watch A LOT of basketball! It was such a close game all 4 quarters... We were in the 9th row and I felt like I could reach out and touch the players. Jase was so excited to watch LeBron James, Dwight Howard and all the other players on the Heat. We aren't fans of one particular team we just like to sit back and watch the game but we were happy the Jazz won by one point in the last 14 seconds of the game!

BUSY BODIES Picture Update...

Back in January we went rock climbing for Meags birthday... It was a lot harder than it looked but it was SO much fun! We are definitely going to go back.

We also went to a Utah Grizzlies hockey game when my brother-in-law Cameron was in town for a school interview at BYU. Let me tell you kids that was one of THE MOST INSANE experiences of my life! Between the sketch fans and the never ending punching match on the ice I went home a new women! Did you know that in hockey a player can punch you square between the eyes as many times as he wants just as long as you are still standing?!... even if you have missing teeth and blood everywhere? The ref won't do a thing until both of you have fallen over onto the ice... some game that hockey is! Maybe I should take it up.. on the other hand I kind of like my face the way it is now so I will just leave that up to the NHL players!

Lately we have been obsessed with cards... rummy, golf and what we like to call bazinga! We made the name up because we didn't know the real name but regardless the names we play every night EVERY single night!

This is how we shuffle sometimes!
We also love puzzles and scrabble and anything that will distract us for more than 5 minutes!
Jase and I get bored really easy... probably easier than the average American! So we took the plung and got THE PASS OF ALL PASSES! For those of you who don't know what that is it is a pass for unlimited seven peaks, trafalga, bowling, go karts, free REAL games and the list goes on! We are pretty jazzed about it if you can't tell. So when we have crazy  cabin fever we take advantage of our sweet pass. The other day we went and played glow in the dark mini golf on a Tuesday afternoon..

It was also my birthday on January 26th and Jason spoiled me as usual! He got us a Kinect which we have played a total of 3 times... we are lame but I am sure when we buy some games we will play it more. He also made me my very own rice krispie treat cake... 22 trick candles and all!

J also took me shopping and I got a couple cute shirts and a swimsuit for 15 dollars! You buy a top and get the bottom FREE!! I was pretty excited about it :)
Not usually a person that takes pictures of myself in the mirror but this top is just TOO STINKIN CUTE!

We got a chance to go to the coolest ski jump competition at Deer Valley with our friends Karee and Josh... these people would just flip and spin and spin and flip and then land perfectly! The Asian won... not shocking they are the best at everything. Sometimes I wish I was an Asian prodigy child.... ok getting off subject! It was really fun and we love spending time with friends.

It was Valentines Day a couple weeks ago and we celebrated it just like we always did growing up. My mom is the best mom out there! She always made Valentines Day such a special occasion. We would wake up to pink heart pancakes that my dad made us and in our spot at the counter the LOVE BUG had left us treats, love notes and usually a Valentines shirt and a pair of socks! The rest of the day was filled with lots of love... There were no socks this year at the Harper's but we stuck to the heart pancakes and lots of love tradition :) We also made some Valentines Day cookies for our friends and neighbors to spread the LOVE!

Jase kicking butt and taking names with his piping skills!

I got to go to Mandy's house for a week and it was so fun. I love spending time with her and her family! I got to meet new little Graham and spend a lot of time with miss Charlie. I use to go out every summer and spend at least 2 weeks with her but the past couple of years things just haven't worked out so when I got the chance to go I jumped on it. They are moving here this summer and I am so excited I text Mand almost everyday to tell her.. I am sure she is getting sick of it BUT I don't care :)

 Just so stinkin cute!
Not the best picture of Graham but I wanted to show you that Char loved to hold him and sing him songs! She is a great big sister...

I have this thing about rice krispies where I have no control as to how many I eat! I usually have great self control when it comes to food... especially ever since I have had my food allergies. BUT for some reason you put a pan of delish rice krispies in front of me I will kid you not eat the entire pan! Mand and I made 2 pans in 2 days! YEP I have problems but my mom always told me that is the first step to recovery... ADMITTING you have a problem!
We went to ULTA to try and find some lipstick and came out like this! We may have had too much fun.. it is kind of like dress up in there! You get to put on ridiculous makeup that you would never buy and go wild with it. We went to pick Char up from a friends house and the second she saw her mom and I she said "LIPS MOM!" ha I think mine scared her a little!
Sadie also came for the weekend to spend a little time with us and it was a lot of fun! I miss having her close but I am glad she is loving Arizona. All in all it was a great trip going to see one of my best friends and I can't wait until she is my neighbor!

When I landed in Salt Lake I turned on my phone to find out that one of our friends Josh Lloyd had lost his battle to cancer. My heart breaks for his sweet wife and family. I have been counting my blessing more than usual this week. I am so blessed in my life with an amazing husband, family, health, career and the list goes on and on. Life is too short to not do the little things each day to be a happy person... whether it is taking that walk around the block with your sweetheart or eating that whole pan of rice krispies by yourself DO IT.. because in reality the little things are what make up who and what we are in our lives.
