Another week gone...

How is time going by so fast?! This week was way fun and it seemed as though I didn't stop going once! I went to Honolulu 3 times and to the beach and to then to beach again and then BAM! It's Sunday again.. Crazy how that happens here in paradise. We were blessed with really nice weather here in Laie the whole week.. so that made one happy Cristine! Today was Stake Conference and it was really good. I enjoy mixing it up and hearing new people speaking in a different environment. Today the weather was BEA-UTIFUL and also the heat was sweltering.. We walked about a mile to church today and lets just say when we all got there we were super hot, sweaty and tired! But it was all worth it because the meeting was off the charts. Being here in Hawaii I have gotten the chance to be surrounded by so many different cultures and an array of ethnicities and to be quite honest I just LOVE it! At times I find myself oogling at someone that has a pretty accent or at someone that has the most unique beauty.... I am trying not to stare as much mom sorry! All in all my week was fantastic and once again I am truly truly blessed to be here at this time in my life...

 I fell asleep on the beach in Waikiki in my clothes and I woke up with sand everywhere and looked a lot bit homeless!

I am a brat.. Many of you already know this but it's true I am! Today I was talking to my mom and was saying how I was kind of ready to come home and see her and spend time with my family and most of all get back to work and being productive. LAME.. right? Today I did what I promised myself I wouldn't do which is taking this amazing place for granted. I stopped for a moment when the sun was going down and looked out my bedroom window and saw this...

A blur...

The last couple of days have been a big, fat, huge blur! I still think it is Monday but oh no it's Thursday.. I guess that is what you get when everyday is the weekend :) We have gone to Honolulu not once but twice this week and both times we went to this place!

YOU ARE RIGHT YOGURTLAND... I DO RULE! 

This trip has been amazingly enjoyable food wise... TOO enjoyable! I am going to be rocking my stretchy pants quite a bit when I get home!

Tourists just LOVE to match! Haha I am such a snooty little goober.. like I am a local or something! But seriously I have a permanent address here what more do you want?

ABC Store findings.... A pill box or a potable ashtray! Hawaiians with their jokes.. they just kill me :)

These guys are everywhere in downtown Waikiki.. It's SOO fun to make them laugh! They are suppose to be serious but guess who got him to crack a smile yesterday?! THIS KID!

She'll probably get real mad at me for putting this up here but they are just TOO cute not to! I am feeling really bad about not being there for his homecoming this weekend but I know he will do GRRREEAAAATTT (to be read in Tony the Tiger voice!)

Honolulu ZOO

Today we went to the ZOO! It started off with a bit of a not so great situation with me doing this...

but I was NOT going to let a silly little phone ruin my great day... so I did just that! Let it run right off my back and went on with the best day ever :)

Here are some of the amazing animals we got to see... I was like a little kid in a candy store all day long.. pointing at things and getting more and more excited every corner we went around!

After the zoo we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then to Yogurtland of course! Life is great here on this little island of bliss... I could not be happier!

Turlte Turtle

Growing up we watched The Master of Disguise on a regular basis.. It was one of those movies we never got sick of and is still quoted every time we are all together. "Turtle Turtle... Aren't I turtley enough for the turtle club?" is what I was thinking all day today! 

THESE NEXT PHOTOS ARE REAL LIFE... THIS TURTLE WAS NOT PLANTED HERE FOR A GREAT PHOTO OPPORTUNITY...

 This is our little big friend that decided he wanted to come up on the beach for a nap.... He was pretty fascinating to watch! He was about 35 years old... or at least that is what the lady from the government that walks the beaches to check for turtles told Nola. When we walked away I felt a little bit ashamed for not touching it.. My dad would be real disappointed!

I feel real bad I didn't take a picture with them today... just picture them with less clothes on and bigger smiles!

 Nola and Reed Swenson ( katie's in-laws) are in town for Reed's work and my friends and I got the chance to go over to their house and play on their private beach for the day. It was amazing.. it was like we were on a different island or something! Their house is looking over the ocean and it has tons and tons of turtles right up next to the beach and load of whales all over playing games and splashing around. I literally felt like I was at Sea Life Park but I didn't have to pay the ridiculous fee to get in!

 

After the fun day on the beach they took Allie, Meg and I to get a snowie in Haleiwa! These are the days I have to pinch myself and ask how did I get to live such an amazing life? I am truly one lucky girl! Thanks guys for the FANTASTIC day :)

For my birthday Sadie sent me the best package ever! She went to the dollar store and went crazy... She got so many things to entertain Allie and I. These are two of our favorite things right now..
